The brilliant services of  the
Bucktail Rifles
of Pennsylvania have induced the
War Department to request
Governor Curtin
to organize a full brigade to bear
the same name and wear the
same badge of honor as the old regiment.
The undersigned has been authorized to
recruit a company for this celebrated corps
and offers the following inducements:


 $ 2   Enlistment Fee ;
 $13  One Months Advance Pay ;
    and the subjoined bounties :
$25  U. States Bounty in Cash ;
Probably a County Bounty ;
$75  U. States Bounty
at the end of war,
and pay, clothing and rations
from date of muster.
Rally for the Bucktails, and let this County
be represented in the Rifle Brigade.
Rally Soon, for the time for volunteering
will soon close.

Remembrance Day November 19, 2011
Schedule

7:30 AM      
Gather and form up at the old Cyclorama Center parking lot. NO RIFLES, BAYONETS, POWDER, CAPS, OR WEAPONS OF ANY KIND! Uniform, waist belt is optional. Bring your Great Coat if it is chilly or there is inclement weather.
8:00 AM Step off and march with the entire FVB to the National Cemetery to Render appropriate Remembrance Day Honors to all deceased Union Veterans who are buried there. This ceremony will last approximately one hour.
(9:00 AM)  (If time permits, join Capt. Chuck Copello and unit at the 1st Day Monument for their Remembrance Day Monument Ceremony. )
10:00 AM 139th PVI Monument Ceremony for those who can attend.
12:00 noon Form up at the Middle School on Lefever Ave for the SUV Parade. Uniform in good serviceable shape, shoes polished, brass shined. White dress gloves mandatory - we are Bucktails marching through Gettysburg in a formal parade! Canteens filled, No powder or caps, bayonets shined - we will Fix Bayonets for this parade. You must UNfix bayonets at the conclusion of the parade. You cannot walk with a fixed bayonet on GNMP grounds e.g. to walk down to the 3rd Day 149th PVI Monument Ceremony.
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM Parade steps off down Baltimore Street thence via Steinwher Avenue to the GNMP Entrance to the battlefield.
*3:00 PM 3rd Day Monument Ceremony, Hancock Avenue. *time approx., immediately following parade.
4:00 PM All 149th members are invited to join with the 139th PVI for Dinner at Hoss's Steak House, 1140 York Road (US Rte 30 East ), Gettysburg.
